hi i have a 325se auto year 89
last night after a burn out maddness :cry: i broke the diff
1ST are they the same on any other models cos their are some in the local scrappy
or does anyone have one local

325 has a medium case diff. 316,318 and 320 all have small cased diffs, which are not as strong, but probably strong enough. They are physically interchangeable without changing any other parts.
I would think your existing diff has a ratio of 3.9 or 3.74. It should be written on a tag fixed to one of the rear cover bolts.
Other E30 models have various ratios, so it's a matter of doing your reaearch first, or checking out the metal tags.
