The car I have just bought has a toad alarm fitted, it works fine but I just want to know what the buttons on the remote do, the two top big ones are for unlocking and locking and have pictures on them but below them are two smaller buttons with no pictures. And they make the LED flash on the remote when I press them, any one know what they do? If anything?

hey,
im going by what i remember from my old car that had a toad, it had 2 big buttons (one green, the other black), and 2 small buttons(one green, the other black).

big green button armed the alarm.

big black button disarmed the alarm.

small black button (1 second aux trigger, +/- depending on setup), usually used to trigger boot release solenoid.

small green button (5 second aux trigger, +/- depending on setup),
usually used to trigger window closure or electric sunroof.

each small button needs to be pressed for about 3 seconds to activate.
but not all inslallers connnect these triggers as they were optional extras.

i hope i was some help.

On my old motor the small green button was for the windows and the small black button armed/disarmed the alarm silently for late night entry exit

Hmmm they are both small black buttons, infact all 4 buttons are black. And the alarm doesn't blip when I arm it, only flashes.

The extra buttons are for extra bits on the alram system, and the chirp/blip can be turned off.
