e30 318iS brake servo.

Hey all

Got a hissing sound from passenger footwell whenever i pump my brakes, brakes are awful and do not seem to be assisted. Should i bleed the brakes before assuming its the booster/cylinder straight away?

Need to get this sorted, struggling to find a atc brake servo that is not stupid money.

The wiki states that they are interchangeable between all e30s, would one from an e36 work? Maybe an e36 318iS? They look very similar but unsure about size and depth etc.

Also seen putting a later e9x one in is an option but i am not interested in cutting and welding it myself.

I will also look for leaks in the hoses, anyone know what size vacuum hose i should be looking at? My car is not easily accessible or id just measure it myself.
