I just checked out the left side boot compartment because I was looking for a place to stow a warning triangle I've got off ebay... and... it had about 2 inches of water sloshing round the bottom. It looked clean, and I mopped it out with a handy towel but I don't think this can be good news overall.

Is this all to do with the rear wash wipe? The pipes _look_ intact but I don't get any squirty action when I press the button - just the wiper moving around. Is there a prime suspect in the pipery that goes on in there or should I just pull the lot out and go over it with a fine toothed comb? Any links to handy hints would be a godsend.

Thanks

I had the same problem on my tourer and it was the seals on the rear light cluster.

I just used silicone sealant and that seems to have fixed the problem.

(Doesn't explain your lack of squirty action of course!)

You could also get replacement cluster seals.... i suggested sealant a few months back to someone with same problem and got bombed by Scott. LOL

Right then, I'll check the rear cluster for leaks. I'm assuming that there will be damp in there somewhere if thats where the water is coming in.
In the meantime UP PERISCOPE!!
