Hi, does anybody have any experience with the aftermarket idle valves found on ebay etc? Im looking for an L shaped one, but dont want to buy a piece of crap one which ain't gunna work.

The after market versions do work in my experience, that said not as well as the real Bosch oem units which are really pricey. I had my original Bosch totally fail after 32 years, and now run an unmarked copy that I paid 40 quid for; it works but idle is less smooth, driveability is also affected.

I'm on the lookout for an original Bosch or might buy new if I'm feeling flush!! and keep the aftermarket item in the boot as a spare.

This is all for the T shaped 3 pin version, but I guess they ain't that dissimilar!
