I removed the whole exhaust from the manifold down pipe back. Putting it back on I’ve manage to strip 2 of the 4 threaded bars. Is there anyway of removing these without taking the engine out. M20b25

sorry its not clear,

Is the manifold on the car, and you've stripped the threads of the studs which come out of the ends of the manifold and connect to the down-pipe??

You can easily remove the manifold, but you'll probably need a new gasket as a matter of course, no need to remove the engine if I understand your problem correctly.

Everything is still attached to the engine and still in the car. That’s correct, the studs at the end of the manifold to connect to the downpipe.
I’ve owned the car nearly 15 years, my daily driver, and all I’ve ever read is horrer stories of snapped bolts in the head trying to remove the manifold itself.

Try one of the these Deburring tools https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2pcs-Deburri ... 3281748464 then a Thread chasing die, there should be enough room to get at the threads,
