Hi
I have a 316i auto 1989.
I sit worth me using the more "superior" unleaded fuel? I am not after more performance but I would like to look after the engine properly.
Any help or advice would be great.
Cheers

Nick

I think my handbook says 98 octane which is "Super" in the UK.

My M20 doesn't like 95 much.

Cheers Paul, I think I will give "super" a go for a while but it could be a waste of money!

And you will be quite correct. There is absolutely no reason or benefit in running any engine that does not have knock sensors on any higher octane fuel than it needs to avoid 'pinking'.
