Hi I need to replace the driveshaft outer cv gaiter on my 320i .ive taken the shaft off but anyone no which end you remove to change the gaiters? . I tapped the outer one gently to see if there was a clip in there but it didn’t move ,don’t won’t to hit it to hard till I’m sure .any help

from memory you cant knock outer cvs off like on a fwd car, take the end cover off the inner cv, then your find a circlip, remove that and take the inner cv joint off

or you could just buy a stretchy boot. the garages use them these days . with the help of a large cone and some silicon .

That first stretchy boot is sooooo cool!! and being silicon should last a while as well.
