The smaller butterfly on my throttle body has been sticking closed lately, making on/off throttle at low speeds quite interesting!
It was pretty dirty and gummed up, so I've had the butterfly's out and cleaned it all up.
All the linkages are free and there's no sticking with the larger butterfly fitted, but with the smaller butterfly fitted it's still sticking closed.

I have a spare throttle body and it's exactly the same. Any ideas why this might be?

Cheers
James

Hi James I have just bought an E36 M42 motor for a spare and have no use for any of the E36 inlet or ancillaries . The throttle body to me seems OK . You are welcome to have any parts you want to take .
