Hi,
I have just pulled out my clocks on my 1985 323i as the service indicator wasn't working. I suspected the batteries were flat as it has been stood for a long time. It was the batteries but they have leaked and the acid has damaged the board. I have been looking around for a replacement but I am struggling to find the early model Motometer board with the NiCad batteries. I have found a few of the later models but from different engine sizes.
What I would like to know is if I can fit a later model board to my clocks? If not I will just have to keep hunting.
Also, do the boards differ on the early models for different engine sizes.
I have only been looking on eBay for a replacement. Can any one suggest anywhere else?
Any help is appreciated.

I'm sure I've read on here that you can use the later boards with the lithium batteries and that all the boards are identical for each engine model size except for the white clip on module at the front which you swap for the one appropriate to you. Im sure someone else will correct me if this is incorrect no doubt!
The best place to find one is by posting on the parts wanted section and the various breakers will get in touch.
