That specific message is what you get when you haven't set the time. UHR being the German equivalent of GMT. Not sure what the screen shows when the immobiliser is enabled as I've been to scared to try mine. I'm sure I've seen the procedure on how to bypass it on here sonewhere

Simply disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it disarms that particular immobiliser, so I doubt if it's the problem.
Check for 12 volts at the + terminal of the ignition coil with the ignition on.

^^ both of the above, it is just a very simple immobiliser built into the OBC, it can be removed completely by removing a few of the OBC components.

I think the Wiki states what the various parts/plugs are.

Even still, removing them will take a lot longer than the average joy rider would be willing to take.

I'm gonna face palm myself. Found a blown fuse and it started. I saw it the day before but ignored it. How daft of me, thanks for all your help.

A blown fuse is NOT a fault! It is a symptom of a fault.
The only fuse that affects the running of the engine is #11, for the fuel pump. If this fuse was the correct 7.5A, then you probably have a failing fuel pump. If it was an incorrect 15A fuse, then there's something a bit more complex going on.

It's a 25A fuse, will check what number it was. Its running fine but rather look in to it like you say

No 25A fuses specified for an E30. I suggest you consult our fuse chart in the wiki, and make sure yours matches it, before your car incinerates itself.

The one I pulled was for rear lightsa˜³ top on board computer was showing rear lights need checking and now it's off. Think I sorted the immobiliser issue that's why it started. The fuse I replaced is not major from that fuse board chart.

Sure you didn't misread 7.5A for 25A?
