i just bought a plug and play ecu but the car wont start. its not picking up rpm. had a quick look on the wiki and crank wheel angle on my one is set at 88 but the wiki says it should be 84. would this be the problem? I don't want to start changing anything without being sure

if you connect your computer to the ecu open tuner studio and in file hit save as, that will save the msq (tune file) off the ecu. then under the diagnostic and high speed logger tabs near the top choose tooth logger, check the save file box, click start crank the engine for 5-10 seconds or so, hit stop and uncheck the save file box.

is the ecu staying powered up when cranking or is it losing power? is it a mspnp / diy pnp or a traditional megasquirt with an adapter harness that makes it plug and play have you got a pick?
