Mondeo Droplinks - Am I missing something?

So as part of my restoration I am rebuilding the front suspension. I saw on the wiki that you can use rear Ford Mondeo droplinks on the front.
I ordered a pair and now they are here it doesn't make sense. The new droplinks have a thread straight downwards and the old have a hole/bush through the centre...

How do I get the Mondeo ones to fit? I must be missing something.

Take the bracket that the bush bolts to off of the wishbone then then the ball joint on the mondeo link bolts straight through it
