Hi.

I'm installing an OBC into my E30. I've got the two plugs where one is female and other is male, I believe these are the ones that would tap into some pre-existing connector on the car so they run through the harness.

But I cannot find them anywhere, are they near the glovebox, or near the ignition barrel or near ECU?

These are not the plugs for the code box as I have them connected to the code box, it is two plugs coming off the OBC harness that I am almost sure is for the immobilizer function.

Cheers.

OK well I seem to have figured out it is a 2 wire plug that takes the place on a plug that has just a looped wire on it.

Now I am left with a few plugs that I am unsure of.

These two here (that I originally thought were for immobilizer, are for something else, they seem just to connect to each other)

More importantly, it is these small plugs here that I don't know where they go, somewhere into the big junction box behind the glovebox but they seem to fit nowhere :

It appears the bottom plug may be missing another end when I purchased the harness?

Here we go:

http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... itting_OBC

It's been so long since I took mine out I can barely remember...

There were two green wires coming from the Accessory socket - when I took mine out I had to join these. Otherwise they go to the OBC relay box (a flatish black box did you get this?) which is how the OBC which it connects to, stops the car firing though it will turn over, if the OBC immobiliser decides.

See http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... ory_Socket dead handy.

That bottom plug you have looks like it's meant for the accessory socket (upside down on my car).
The story so far... http://www.cookracing.co.uk/

I have other two plugs that goto the OBC relay box, but the ones pictured above I cannot find out where they connect, does not seem to be for the immobilizer as there is other plugs that i found for that (tap into a green plug near the junction box).

Still cannot figure out where bottom two goto.

I'm thinking it may be because I'm using a USA Harness and these plugs may be in the wrong area which is why I cannot find out where they goto, maybe not.

They are right near the accessory socket, but I can't find any free pins they connect to, just doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't think so because it is part of the OBC Loom, not the main E30 dash loom.

Both of those plugs are somehow related as one of the red wires from the bottom one loops to the top plug, and other red wire goes to the OBC horn plug

Anybody have any idea where they connect?
