Clock not working. Please help!
Moderator: martauto
Hi, my clock in the front isn't working... The backlight works okay and out of the four prongs out of the unit one is live... All the others I have no power but can find what these four represent... 2 live and two negative? One for light and one for the clock?? Any help much appreciated as have no idea how to test if it's faulty or just missing a live feed? Thanks Justin

Do any of the other things on fuse 21 work?

Yes 21 replaced and boot light was working too.... May well be the clock... Unless anyone can tell me what the four props are for... I noticed a lab,e on one of the wires supplied to the light had been labeled so someone has had a fix on it before... Thanks

this link's worth a quick read to make sure you have the wires correct. it does say there should to 2 live wires.

If you don't know how to fix the problem before, you're unlikely to be able to fix it after reading this! US cars have a different loom, and the info. in the article varies from not relevant to plain drivel.blazed wrote:http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthr ... alog+clock

Connect a 12 volt bulb of around 5 or 21W between the red/green and plain brown (NOT brown/white) wires of the clock plug. If it lights, you have a duff clock (very unusual). If it doesn't light, then the problem is elsewhere.
The other two wires connect to the illumination bulb.
