So my outer sills are starting to go, especially on the passenger side (in fact there is now a hole in that side after the MoT but it looks like someone tried lifting the car by it and crushed it slightly).
Anyway, I anticipate taking it to a bodyshop to get the sills done after I have sorted everything else which will be quite lengthy, BUT if I leave the car on my drive which has a slope on it, it doesn't matter which way I park, when I pull off the drive water seems to drip out from the sill (not sure if it is from the sill but looks like it).
How can the water be getting in there (It could be form the hole that is there but was doing it before that)? And are there any drain holes that could be blocked? I have checked the horseshoe and they seem OK. The rear wheel arch on the passenger side is also gone so will need to get it all done at the same time but want t o try to prevent it happening when it is all fixed.

Water is supposed to get into the sills of E30s. The front sunroof drains end up in the sills on saloons, and IIRC, the hood compartment does the same on cabs. What the water shouldn't do, is stay in them. There should be drainage slots at the bottom of the sills at the front and back of the car.
The second thread found using "sill AND drains" in the search function leads to:
