Hi, I am going down the route of having a custom stainless steel exhaust built for an M30 H28, I assume the spec would 'probably' be similar to an Alpina system in terms of placement of baffles and mufflers on the system (if any). I have got a new Hartge tip to go on the end so all they will be replacing is the pipework from the stainless manifold including the backbox itself.
What I really want to know is -
Do I need a centre muffler?
And do I need baffles within the backbox or do I just get a straight through sports system (I don't want it sounding stupid though!)
Thanks I'm advance
Help me with replicating Hartge exhaust system

Ps the car had a cat fitted of which I had removed so I don't know if it should have a centre muffler and I don't particularly want to carv the existing backbox up to find out what's inside it if at all possible. Cheers

As we said the other day mate I reckon streight through twin pipes to the back box and have a "sport" box fitted it will be louder than what you have now but as at present you have no centre box and a hartge back box even though it's streight through. It will be fruity!

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity
