Guys,

For some time now, my E30 high bean lights had a foggy lens. I have closely inspected the lens and found that is inside and not outside as usually happens on an E36. So I have to take it apart and clean it from the back with the H1 bulb removed

Do any of you have idea how to take the beam apart from the bezel?

The chrome bezels just pull off, but that doesn't remove the lens. The only way that can be done is to heat the unit carefully in an oven until the glue softens.
Try working through the bulb hole with a long small paintbrush, after pouring a little soapy water in.

That is what I feared........I will try that and perhaps use distilled water to avoid further spots.......
