hello mate,

open the fuse box and u should see a long black realy take it ou and make sure the connections are all nice and clean and put back in should be ok give it a wiggle about when refitting. also check inside the washer bottle and make sure the sender is the right way up.

Sounds like the relay, mate. Its either the largest one in the fuse box (black ~8x3x3 cm), or if you have headlight wipers it could be the extra relay attached to the washer reservoir. If its the later you can disconnect that and windscreen washing will still work. Probably best to clean all the contacts and then try again. Good luck

Windscreen washers should still work from the column switch with the wiper relay removed, so if they keep working continuously with the relay out, then the problem is the column switch, or a short to earth in the brown/black wire leading to it.
If pulling the relay stops the washers then it probably is the relay.
