How can you tell if it's factory fitted? Mine originally had a din plug but has a rocker switch in the glove compartment now? :?

No BMW alarm/immobiliser has a rocker switch in the glove box.
The OE alarm, along with a couple of BMW approved alarms were a popular, but expensive, option, but many have acquired aftermarket tat in the years since.
All can be defeated in seconds.

The guy I bought it off had it taken off the din plug & put there for some mental reason.
I guess any auto electrician worth there salt should do
