Eibach springs fitted, now lower on front than back?

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

So as above, fitted to my 318is on standard shocks, definitely gone down more on front than rear?? Haven't got any pics to show it but I would say rear has gone down 10mm and front has gone 35mm, is this normal? :?

Are you sure you've seated the springs into the rubber pads correctly?

I think so, you talking about the rears? I've driven a few miles with them fitted so would have thought they would have seated by now? Do eibach do two different heights?

You could have touring/cab rear springs (heavier car on the rear)
Or a 60/40 drop (or both)

Is there any codes on the springs?

I've removed one of the rears today and there is no difference in height between them and the old standard ones, any ideas people?

Sounds like your old springs were overly compressed, for example, the car has been used for towing or had heavy loads in the boot for long periods of time

Yea that sounds fair enough, the car has over 90k on it. Though I still can't understand why I'm getting the "rake" look with the set fitted?

It's not a great pic but I think the issue can be seen.
Is there anything else I can do to drop the rear?

Edit: no it's a crud pic and you can't see what I'm talking about :D

get the car 3 up plus driver 4 and take it out. It should settle

The front looks like mine on H&R's sports. On my rears 15 bbs are level with the front small amount of tyre under the arch

20mm drop i believe with the H&R all round

Eibach springs give abit of a rake look anyway but it's only slight. personally, I like it :)

Your old springs could have been just very sagged as Dan says and now your just not used to how an E30 is suppose to sit :)

I'll see if I have any pics from the side when my iS was on the B12s

That's sitting perfectly in my opinion.

Even standard E30 318iS mtec springs have a nice rake to them.

This is how my other iS used sit on standard suspension

Will post pic of mine later today for judgment, Dave-m3 I think mine is similar to your pic on rear but is still lower on the front by maybe 25mm,

Well it's sorted! Stripped the whole thing down and then rebuilt. All seems well, not that I could see an issue before but it definitely sits better now
What do you think?

Not much else it could be, if all you've done is taken it apart and put it back together.

Definitely something was wrong in how the springs were seating on the pads so then as mine had standard Mtec springs all round in that pic and iirc, I don't think I had the carpet, rear seats, boot trim and things in it when that photo was taken either was had that iS stripped out to make it a trackcar at the time.

My guess is the spring pads weren't sitting down around on the bump stops in the trailing arm an body properly.
