HELP!! I was given a set of chrome instrument rings for Xmas (lucky me)
but when I stripped the pod out, I found the clear perspex panel appears to be glued in. Am I missing something obvious or is there more to this than it says in the instructions "simply snap in place"!!!

hiya. the perspex panel is stuck in place. A small screwdriver, and some patience will get it off. Use a hairdryer to heat it and help prevent it snapping/splintering. If you need to use glue on the rings, don't reseal the perspex, or the drying glue will make your fingerprints turn white (don't ask how I know!!)

I do know with some types you are supposed to take the clocks out then slide in the rings and glue/stick them in.

You may not have to take the perspex off.

Mine were the "click" ones - just push on, apartt from the outer ones which required a slight wipe with sandpaper before they slotted in.
Be careful with the perspex - I cracked mine even though I was being careful but luckily it is under the front cover.

If you have to take the perspex of use a heatgun/hairdryer to soften the glue.

Thanks for all the replies. Mine are the click in type so hopefully I won't need to glue anything, and thanks to Ian for the glue tip, that's exactly the sort of thing that seems to happen to me! Now I've got no excuse for messing it up.
