M20 flywheels are the same, except for very early ones which are lighter, and some are fitted with a trigger for bell housing mounted timing sensors.

I was getting confused when you said about the cover plate as didn't know much about the fly wheel and clutch assembly . There's the thin plate behind the flywheel . The flywheel with the metal washer and bolts that go on . Then I've ordered a clutch kit that I assume bolts to the flywheel ?

There's no thin plate behind the flywheel! The plate fits under the head of the flywheel to crank bolts, as a sort of one piece washer for all the bolts.
The cover plate is the largest part of the clutch kit - the part containing the clutch spring and the drive plate that sandwiches the clutch driven plate against the flywheel.
