I have a descent low mile box (thanks Sskoda) that i am looking at fitting to my cabby but am thinking whilst its on the bench to get it properly overhauled as i plan on keeping my e30 forever.
Any recommendations on place that can do this?
cheers

It will be expensive mate, budget £60 per hour and costs of parts
Considering the boxes are plenty, it would be cheaper to buy one or maybe two good spares
Should be able to get a spare box for £30

If it's low mileage, just change the oil and fit it - it should then be fine for another 100,000 miles or so.

I cannot remember any reports of manual 'boxes giving serious trouble.
But replacing the selector shaft oil seal and re-newing the linkage bushes will be a lot easier with the 'box out of the car.
