e30 heater and windows?

Hiya chaps ive had a e30 sport parked for around 6 months brought it and never touched it had a good look at it today the heater when on making a loud noise and its not working what most likely would be at fault also the windows both stopped working since i brought it i looked at the fuses changed them all the switches ive changed the sunroof works but windows nothing would that most likely be the motors on both windows? thanks if anyone could help

When you say " the heater is not working", do you mean the fan or the heater?
Sunroof and windows share the same power supply, so if one works, so should the other. Check that the thermal cutout (the "switch" in front of the RH window switch) is fully pushed down, and if it is, pull it out and check that one of the wires hasn't fallen off of it. The sockets that push onto the switch is a little under specified.
Do the switches light up with the ignition on or doors open?

Probably the fan bearings are crying "enough" after 25+ years of no lubrication. If caught in time, the plain bearings will respond to a clean up and some light oil, but if they've worn, then a replacement motor and fan assembly is needed.
