Can you get new rubber seals for ball joints? The ball joint rubber on the control arm has a small nick in it but the joint itself is fine & I'd imagine changing that particular joint is a pain! Cheers J

Yes, although I can't remember if you can actually change them on E30 wishbones. If it has a spiral spring clip at the base of the boot, then you can change it.

They can be changed, and I've done so frequently. No scrap balljoint ever goes into the waste bin in my workshop wearing a still serviceable boot!
New covers used to be only available from the likes of kit car parts suppliers, but since a split one has become a MOT test failure, they are becoming more widely available from motor factors, etc.
