As the title says.

Have tried to do a search, but can't find any pictures here or on google.
Just bought a Baur and am trying to get the roof locking mechanism to work. I believe I am missing some parts on my car, but have not been able get a picture of a complete mechanism.

Also I understand that there are two mechanisms. Mine doesn't look like this one.
http://www.e30forum.de/diyfaq/kaufberat ... baur-7.jpg, so pictures of the other mechanism both the part on the car and the roof panel would be great.

Thanks
Ingo

We have a Dutch-based zoner,Bertiebaur? who usually is able to answer this type of question.

May be worth spending time searching the member list to trace him.

Apparently there is an early and a late model, which have a slightly different mechanism. Will post a photo of the parts I have tomorrow. But I also believe that the mechanisms are interchangable.

How much for the top part that is held down by the 4 screws and the counterparts from the roof?

Thanks
Ingo

Hi Ingo,

The early system was used on cars till Baur-number B42265. What is the number of your car?
If it is an early bird, it should have this system:

Yes this is what I have got.
My car Baur No. is 41433.

What does the counterpart that is attached to the roof panel, look like? I only have two empty threads there. Also am I correct in assuming that the two systems are interchangeable, as long as I replace both the top and bottom half?

Thanks
Ingo

Hi Ingo,

At the moment I don't have the possibility to make a picture of it, but there are two clamps fitted on the roofpanel.

The system is interchangeable, and it is an upgrade to use the later system.
