E30 tachometer/mpg meter, no reading, all other instruments ok.Can anyone give me the wiring details? Where does the info for this instrument originate.?

First thing to check is the SI light batteries; if they are duff, it tends to affect the other instruments.

So, reset your SI lights, and ensure they work OK:
