I have a pair of genuine smoked Hellas. Can I swap these to the UK orientation by replacing the rear caps with UK versions? Are said items interchangeable?

Thanks but mine are Hella heads, not the Bosch versions so I don't think it applies 
It does, they work exactly the same. If you look at the top of the dip unit there's even a pointer so you know they're set to left or right side driving.
Infact, they're even quicker and easier to do than the Bosch ones, as you only have to undo the screws a couple of turns.
I reset mine in an asda carpark after returning from France once.
