anyone know which is the correct type?

i've seen both dextron II ATF and manual box sae 80 mentioned.

i'm likely to go with the ATF if i can't find a definate answer.

SAE 80 is what it left the factory with. Dextron II or III can be used instead; usually to cure a box which is difficult to change gear when cold. The downside is that if the box has any rattles, they will be louder rattles with ATF.
