Hey guys.

So I'm check-listing my car getting it ready for its next MoT, and I got to the dash lights. I saw that one was not working, so I pulled it all out and the bulb is missing, that's not a problem in itself as I have a couple spare, but I got thinking, and I don't actually know what this light is for. My first thought was ABS warning light but then I didn't think that I had ABS.. So my question is, does anyone know what it is for? :)

The photo isn't of my car it's one I found on google but the light is exactly the same as the one I mean. Many thanks guys. Jay

Brake pad wear sensor - I think!!!

I would assume someone went to the effort of taking the bulb out, rather than plugging in or replacing the sensor, when they changed the pads!!!

Legend. Thanks very much mate. Another question, does this light need to function for the MoT?

I think all the safety lights need to be on when you turn the ignition on, and then go out when you start the engine...

Just take the bulb back out. It's not needed for the mot and the wear sensors are a pain in the arse anyway.
cheers,

harry
