Ok i need some advice i have fitted a stainless down pipe and centre section the centre section has a silencer in but is mega loud. only wanted the centre section and 2 stainless pipes coming out the back. So i was thinking of adding two cherry bomb glasspack one on each pipe. Would that quieten it down abit.

A video of the exhaust. http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff4 ... 8DCA31.mp4

i think the addition of cherry bombs to bmw e30 may be thin on the ground, hence the lack of info mate

i bought a mangnaflow back box - its a straight through so wont disrupt flow ( turbo build), but is large and has "S" shaped internals so it should quieten it down a fair bit

i got mine through profusion customs in slough - they price matched saving me a few quid and give a great service being the main dealer `( not a sales pitch ) but i was pleased with the service they gave - they phoned me to check it had arrived and was in good condition which i dont think any company has ever done !

muffler is solid aswell with a lifetime guarantee

have a look though here theres tonnes of sizes and designs

Cheers for that. They have the same style as the cherry bombs on there not sure if they will be just as loud tho. Might phone them and have a word.

no worries, i'm no expert but a combination of exhaust components will take away the noise without a massive drop in flow or performance

i think if i wanted to make an engine quite i would use something like there xl / turbo chambered in the centre to cut resonance and a standard backbox/universal muffler as large as possible with the S shaped internals at the rear to take out the remaining sound

have a look on youtube for the sound the cherry bombs make

I've always been a fan of, and vouched for, the Scorpion systems. If you could find just the rear box, I think you would be pleased with the outcome. I ended up with the center bit cut out and pipes straight back to the back box. Sounded growlier, with a nice idle rumble and a good howl higher up. So if you already have a silencer, it would probably end up a little quieter than mine.

Those cherry bombs glasspack were made purely and simply to allow the cherry bomb rear box to pop and bang lol. It wont make the system quieter unfortunately, i only know this because on my rover (first car... be gentle) i decided to go cherry bomb and i used the rear box and those glasspacks. I found that the tone deapened but the car popped so much! It may verry well be different on an eE30, but i would say i don't think its worth spending the money on in my opinion. I think E30_Crazy has got the right idea!

I went for 2 of the magnaflow 4 inch muffler. Not a glass pack spoke to them on the phone and was recommended them.
