E36 328 auto box straight into an E30...possible???

Hey guys, is it possible to fit and auto gear box out of a 328 into my E30? I'm going for the M52 2.8ltr engine and want to keep it auto!!

If it is possible, is straight forward? What mods will I have to make?

Where can I can I get a m52 2.8ltr engine and auto box from, also average prices would be great to know?

LOADS of cheap Auto 328i's on Ebay. As Will says, best buy a running car as a donor.

When I asked around regarding using an auto-box with an M50,the general opinion was that the tunnel area would need extensive re-shaping in order to get the thing to fit.

Nothing is impossible,though,so if you go ahead,be sure to take plenty of photo's!

So has anybody actually fit a E36 outbox to an E30 then?

^^ cheers for that buddy, much appreciated!! Can I ask who did the conversion for you? Just that I'd prefer some one with some previouse experience to do it for me?

Any recommendations? I live in the west mids 15miles from wolves and 30miles from brum...cheers
