hi

could anyone help with installing the 13 OBC, i picked one up last week and want to attampt fitting it myself, iv been reading on the zone wiki and also looked on the net, and sort of got a idear of where to start, but i cant find any guide pics anywhere, little unsure where some bits go

zone wiki
eg: "Now working from inside the car, attach the two looms together behind the glove box. You will see a main earthing point here which holds several brown wires onto the point with a nut, remove the nut and place the brown PBC earthing wire on the earthing point and secure the nut again.

You should now be left with 2 loose wires, a singe green one and a red with white tracer. These wires simply plug into the main control box, there is only one place that each will fit so you shouldn’t have any problems there".

i cant seem to find these points, behind the glove box as easy as said abov
any help would be great
thanks joe

I had the same problem reading this from the wiki so just went ahead and tried it my self.
First off do you want to use the immobiliser code function of the OBC? Most people don't and neither did i.
Without the code function i,
Connected up the yellow connector to the back of the clocks.
Fed wire and black plug through for OBC gong.
Connected up the green plug to the OBC itself
Connected up the 2 pin plug to the temp sensor above the glovebox, and that was it.
It seems to work ok apart from range and avg. speed but i believe you have to play about with it to get these.

Behind the glove box, right in the top outer corner there is a connector with lots of wires plugging ito it and is held in place by a plastic bracket. This is where you want to be plugging them into.

The best way I found was to unscrew the bracket (2 plastic 9mm nuts) so you can angle it and see it properly. There is 1 space for each so look at the end of the spare wires you have then put them in the approiate spot.

Also, this is a rust hot spot area so dont cry if you find the 2 bolts that plastic brackets attach to have rusty away and you can see out

Good luck :thumb:
