hi, i have a problem with the wiring connection to the electric fuel pump. i think the wire has a cut because when i wiggle the wire the car starts with no problem i'm thinking of chopping this wire and soldering a new one on, but the problem is the wire is not long enough, can anybody help with more knowledge any advice will be appreciated the car is 325i on 87 plate because now the fuel gage don't even work but the reserve light comes on so at least i know when to fuel up.

If you live close to me I could have a look.. I haven't really had much to do with a leccy pump but I am an electronic engineer.. It's probably something simple..
