timing belt and water pump

Just wondering as I have not done the timing belt in about 18 months. do I nee to take the timing belt off to replace the water pump?

The timing belt doesnt drive the water pump but as you have to remove a lot of stuff to get at it and a timing belt is only a few quid it makes sense to do it at the same time.
