Running on five

Hi all, just purchased a cap for the diagnostic plug on my sport, fitted it and now she runs on five cylinders........ any ideas as i cant think why this could of done anything or maybe its just a coinsidense as she has been garage for two weeks and was started form the first time yesterday.
