What typically do you guys change when freshen up ur lump?

Right I've got the engine out and it's sitting there say 'fix me up big boy' every time I pass it.

I've gathered the below bits off the GSF site that I'm planning on purchasing, just wondered if there is anything else I should get while im at it (it's for a 325i M20 lump) does anyone know what there Ԛ£42 Head gasket kit includes?

B11106 CYLINDER HEAD GASKET-BQ E30 325i 85>91 M20
B11303 SUMP GASKET E30 325i 85>91 M20
B28001 EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET E30 325i 85>91 M20. 2 Required
B11715 CAMSHAFT OILSEAL Front E30 320i / 323i / 325i / 325e M20 Eng.
B11806 INLET MANIFOLD GASKET(4) E30 320i / 323i / 325i / 325e M20

Not sure about the GSF gsket kit, but the dealer kit includes all of the above apart from the sump gasket.

If the engine is out, how about a clean down and paint?
Oil pump?
Spray bar?
Camshaft?
Rockers and shafts?
Water pump?
Timing belt and tensioner?

All of the above will start mounting up in cost, but at least it's good for a long time!!

Most of the individual gaskets that you need (head gasket/inlet/exhaust/valve stem oil seals/rocker cover gasket etc) are included in the head gasket set and cost less than buying them all seperately.

Make sure you get the correct water pump for your car, the early models up to (87, metal bumper) have 2 outlets on the pump whereas the later models (late 87 on, plastic bumper) have a single outlet.
