Has anyone found a successful way of modifying a worn BBS centre cap so that the interference fit grips the alloy wheel lip better?
The plastic nut internal lugs seem a bit worn and don't force the black ring part into the alloy wheel lip sufficiently. Is it possible to put silicone on the outside of the contacting plastic ring or perhaps a new metal split ring on the internals? (don't think this is an issue as I've had ones that work well even without a metal ring)
Is it a new buy? If so where from and I guess you can get individual parts as I don't want to buy every piece (waffle and central BMW cap is great cond)
Any thoughts appreciated.
