Starter motor?? For my 320i cab

Hi guys need some help i have a 320i cab f reg n my starterotor is playing up so after a couple of wacks the car starts up!

Wat i wanted to knw was can i put a starter motor from any engine size or does it have to be from a 320 upwards? And can a startermotor from a e36 or 46 fit as people are selling em on ebay

Only M20 starter will fit. Not M50 or 52 or 54 I'm afraid.

So, 320 325 e30 / Early M20 520 or 525 e34 / Z1 / e21 320 or 323i / e28 520 or 525e

nice one now so now i knw wat i can get , i think ive seen a 325i starter motor on ebay so ill get that!

Make sure it's not an E36 325i though.....
