Does anyone supply caliper & guide bush repair kits for 325i Girling calipers, other than the main dealer? I want to refurb a pair for sale but with the dealer prices it's not worth my time.

Cheers!

Mucho my thoughts!

I buy re-furbed calipers from Partco(could just be called Unipart these days..)

At their prices,I would struggle to re-tap a buggered bleed nipple.

Tried Biggred ?

I keep meaning to get a kit for my ATE calipers that I've got lying around.

Careful with refurbing Girlings because if, like mine, the slide pins are worn, they'll be beyond saving.

I was going to pick up a guide bush repair kit too! In fact this is sadly the more expensive part :(

Yup.

I found a set of nice clean ATE calipers in the scrappies (with almost new BMW pads and discs) which will replace mine once I change the rubber bits !

They do wear in the ATE version too, but because they don't have the concertina boot which always breaks onthe Girling version the second hand ones tend to be in better nick.

Just a thought.

What does a guide pin repair kit consist of exactly?

I thought that the guide pins were an integral part of the carrier, so once worn would need machining and sleeving to repair?

Or am I getting confused, again?
