1993 318i Touring Crankcase Sensor

Hi
When driving my car has just been cutting out. completely dies on me. No power, no lights, nothing.

Bit scary to be honest as I've been on a busy road at night and had to coast to the side of the road and try and park up safely.

Popped bonnet and obviously the first I checked was the battery. That seemed ok, but when I check the connectors and wiggled around the power came on.

Thought it was a one off but it's a happened a few times. But the battery and leads seem fine.

Just weird that everything goes off.

Someone has suggest that the crankcase sensor might be faulty.

Are these expensive bits of kit?
