I have just replaced all brake pipes on my 316i using BMW steel lines again and the flexible brake hoses. Given that there is little or no fluid left in the system what is the best way for me to bleed the system.

Hi,
Fill the master with brake fluid and gently work the brake pedal up and down a few times.
Starting at the rear drivers side wheel cylinder bleed the brakes with an assistant pumping the pedal up and down, Do this intil there is no air bubbles in the fluid.
Continue with the near side rear wheel, then drivers side front and lastly the near side front.
You may have to bleed the system more than once.
Unfortunately there is no quick way to fill the system.
