what is the correct wheel offset for a e30?

I think its 18 but wait for more knowledgeable to respond.

I'm trying to get new rims for my sport at the momment and have been offered some KESKIN alloys, very nice but are a 35 offset requiring i imagine 15mm spacers so i dont know just yet what i'll do !!

That's the short answer anyway & what the 15" BBS came as.
Bottletops are ET35, but they get away with it by being thinner - it's why they sit so far into the arches too. You can go down to about ET15 on a 15" rim with a 205 tyre... They look good too! Once you start looking at wider than that, you'll have to wait for someone who's tried it to tell you I'm afraid. 20-25 is a good starting point though.
