m40 compression check

Hey all, I done a compression check on the engine of my 318i m40 as i felt it was lacking abit of power and the readings i got for all 4 cylinders was 12 bars on the compression guage with the throttle wide open, is this normal for my engine ?

On the haynes repair manual it says 10 to 11 bars so it should more than ok .....
