long story short, i'm replacing my heater core (the internal radiator like part) and the heater valve which i think was the cause of the issue (coolant FILLING the passenger footwell)

I have got the valve at the attached plastic pipe out, im stuck with getting the radiator part out, all unbolted/unscrewed and free to slide in and out of the big black plastic heating thing behind the controls but there is a big spring and rod in the way, part of the braking system (press brake pedal rod pushes into servo)

has anyone done this replacement? i've looked online and the closest to anything helpful i found was someone doing it on a LHD model so the steering column got in the way, they removed the whole thing, must be an easier way to solve my problem?

thanks in advance!!

also where have people bought valves from other than BMW?
