Do any other seats fit an e30? Like e36 seats or anything??

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

My front drivers seat frame is snapped at the back and is therefore a MOT failure... so I want to replace my front seats with something nice, I have been looking into e30 sports seats and as I really don't like leather the cloth seats are hard to find in a decent condition and price....

I can however find quite a few e36 seats and such I was wondering if they might fit an e30, just the fronts anyway as I know e30s are simply 4 bolts in and out....

Thanks in advance

A few threads on this. Either make up some brackets, weld them in or drill an extra 2 holes to fit E36 seats.

It's been done before.

Some people like them, some don't, I'm still deciding if I do, I'm discovering a different button/function everyday, even the headrests are electric!

Have you removed them to see how they have been fitted?
