Trying to blank off the oil cooler on my series 1 2.5. Assuming this happens from the filter and need the housing changing? Posted this thread in the wanted section

If anyone has the right information, so that I can order the right part to effectively "blank off" what I have.

Cheers,

What you want is the threaded oil filter adaptor from a 320i.
Undo the bolt that goes through the oil cooler adaptor (securing it to the cylinder block), remove all the cooler gubbins, screw the 320i threaded part into the cylinder block and fit the oil filter to the block. Job done! :D

Why do you want rid of the cooler?
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

Many thanks for that Sutbee. I don't particulalry want to get rid of it as I agree with the benefits of extra cooling, except I have it in an E21 and also have AC fitted. There's only room for one thing. I'm never going to take it on a track, so it will hopefully never reach any ciritical temperatures.

Anyway, thanks again :)
