I'm wanting to lower my 316i by about 60mm, not sure exact set up yet maybe 60front 40 rear? - Any recommendations
I was wondering could I lower it this much on current shocks, by just purchasing lowering springs or would this be a bad option?
I don't really want to fork out loads for proper coilys and not sure wether I trust the cheap Jamex spring/shock kits...
Can I lower my 316i on its current shocks?

Better option would be to get uprated shocks and springs as a package. You could lower on current shocks (40mm max i reckon) but might not ride too well.
Try hottuning, full kit for around £140

I've got their kit fitted on my cabby, worked and drove well when fitted. Was firm but not harsh.

Really? did it bottom out much? if that's the case I might just go for some springs as I'm not really bothered about sporty handling as it's only a 316, just want it to look the part...
Is that how low it sits on -60mm in your signature?

just realised, i was talking about my black 318i, but yes, my current e30 in my sig is 60mm on standard shocks aswell, it sits low, looks very
also handles spot on but just be careful over speedbumps, I think they are Pi springs but not 100%
.
