Hi, I've had my car in the air for a a week or two whilst i was doing some work on it. I fixed the original problem but now there is a strange knocking rubbing noise from the offside wishbone area.

Theres no play in the wheel when jacked up or in the track rod end.

Are there any common faults around this area?

Top mounts might have gone, believe that causes a knocking. As silly as it might seem check your wheel bolts are all tight, I came back from the MOT station earlier this year and to my horror found out the knocking when I got home was that both my front wheels were loose.

Def not the wheels ive had it on axle stands but still couldnt locate the problem. Any way to check for top mounts? There doesnt seem to be any play any where obvioius.
